One thing I learned from Vash. EVERYTHING ALWAYS INVOLVES EVERYONE ALL AT THE SAME TIME, and the idea of "staying out of it" is actually physically impossible. A butterfly in Japan can cause a storm in New York over years. Stars billions of light years away have caused entire cultures to kill each other over false gods (it's call light and the seeing OF said stars). Thus, absolutely everything has absoluetly everything to do with absolutely everything.
