I start the debates on emulation? Generally I don't say anything about emulation until I comment about wanting some game and someone decides to tell me to "download the ROM". THEN I just reiterate that I don't and why I don't, as I have to apparently, and for some reason that person takes it to be me starting a debate. It's very clear to me that it's the person who told me to download the ROM illegally in the first place that started it. I never intend it to escalate. I state my view and I should think THAT would be enough. I never said you HAVE to agree with me. You could have just said "oh yeah, I forgot" (to be honest, that's the only possible explanation for why you would be telling me to in the first place) and just moved on, but no, if someone says something you disagree with you just have to make them change their minds. Actually, this can be said about pretty much any debate we get into. I'll make some comments, someone else will disagree, generally in the form of an attack rather than just stating their own views, and I, being way too sensitive, take the bait and get into an argument. I eventually realize how stupid it is in the end and just let it be. It's not that I'm "above" them by the way. Obviously the very fact that I joined in prooves it. That's a very twisted viewpoint, to say that anyone who refuses to do something they find to be wrong must consider themselves "above such a fowl thing" or whatever. It's not about myself, it's about doing the right thing. I'm not saying I'm better than you at all. Ego has nothing to do with it. I just know it would be wrong of me to join in or continue such things. I am not saying I'm NOT a fool. The very statement was intended to show that I AM a fool, to continue such things.
OB1, your views on what is right and wrong are obviously the exact opposite of my own in this regard. You have actually been TRYING to get me to keep debating, goading me on? Why would you DO that? I ended it in the hopes we could move on and you want to stay in the past? You just won't ever let things alone.
As an example, I see another thing for the first time here. You seem to think that my popping in to comment is actually the CAUSE of new debates. Ridiculous. Take accountability. I never intended it to happen like that, and most importantly, you two COULD have just read it and possibly commented on it without argument, but you decided TO argue. What responsibility do I have to end it? I'm not your parent you know. The very idea of blaming others for your OWN arguments is simply cowardly.
Finally, I already made it very clear that I never once insulted you behind your back. I never once called you stupid to ABF, just read that. Obviously, it's very clear that you think me saying something about your views on Metroid WAS some form of personal attack, but it wasn't. The closest thing I did was insinuate your playing skills weren't up to pa. If you can consider that a personal attack then you are very sensitive, especially considering I immediatly added you must be better at Prime than I.
OB1, you really need to reevaluate your values regarding this before you end up attacking someone who insulted your mother or something. I imagine you'd be all like "well if I didn't do anything it would be like admitting what that person said was true!".
