in regards to Iraq its all due to bad planning and being poorly prepared. In the Iraqis minds the country was better off before the war , Right now crime is so bad it has hurt more people then saddam ever did in the last few months, thousands of Iraqi woman were raped , theives and vandals robed,mugged and even kill innocent bystanders on a regular basis as law enforcement is underpowerd and under equiped and under trained. How can newly trained police officers keep sercurity with hand pistols while half the country is armed with Ak-47's thanks to Saddam before the war.
The iraqis cant go to the americans for help as the soldiers are afraid of attacks so all Iraqis have to keep a safe distance.
city infastructures such as basic hydro is still unavailible in most places and I think with the recent blackout the americans got an idea of what Iraq has to live with. Hospitals need supplies and sercurity as many were looted after the fall of saddam and with so many muggings in baghdad the medical personnel are even more overwhelmed.
American soliders fearing for there lives and being killed daily, Shite leaders being assinated and even city blocks being bombed as we just scene recently things are going from bad to worse and even the oil production was sabotaged.
After all this I would hardly say the U.S is safer the Iraq war has only given fueil to extremist , Osama Bin ladin is still out there and he is and was the real threat to everyone he murderd 3,000 americans and he still runs free.
I am glad we didnt go to war but it doesnt mean were not helping you fight terrorism or holding bad feelings to you.
recently canada just captured 5 suspected terrorist who had lied to imigration to get student visa's the problem is the school they said they went too didnt exist and the instead of being in Ottawa they were living in toronto but their maybelieve coiledge was sopposed to be in Ottawa which was a hundreds of miles away.
One of the suspect tried to get a pilot training course which brought him over a nuclear power plant .weither or not their terrorist its not certain but they sure as hell didnt get in legaly from pakistan.
