Oh yes, it is absolutely true. I thought of that almost immediately when you said that... because TC DID EXACTLY THAT!
Sure, DK64 isn't exactly innovative when compared to B-K... but it DID, imo, improve over the original game. For some reason I don't mind the collecting that much... I don't know, maybe its just the way Rare does platformers... because I didn't get anywhere near all the stars/whatevers in Rocket, Mario 64 (or Sunshine, but I haven't beaten that one yet), or Rayman 2... but did in DK64 and can see, if I put the time in to finish it, doing close to that in B-T.
