Er, Croatian and Serbian are the same language... :)
And I wonder how they managed to get such a messed up time telling system... its totally bizarre...
Yes, many languages are consistent in pronounciation. In spanish you almost always follow a few rules... of course English has for every rule massive numbers of exceptions ("i before e except when said as a such as neighbor and weigh", has lots of exceptions too... beyond the one mentioned in the rule itsself. :). But that's because of how much a hybrid the language is... it makes learning it a huge pain, since no rule can be universally followed for anything, but we do have a huge number of words... more than most any other language...
