Metroid 1, being the shortest Metroid game, is the easiest to beat under the "best ending time" while getting everything in the game as well. If you skip all that, you can beat it VERY quickly, like in 45 minutes (I think that's what lazy said he beat it in). Since then, while Metroid games have been getting longer (longest being Prime, but it's still a short game), they are all still beatable in a very short amount of time.
So you know Darunia, all the length you have percieved is just a result of you getting stuck in various parts of the game. With such logic, FF6 was really several hundred hours long for me :D.
