The new Starcraft game isn't Starcraft 3, it's a Starcraft first person shooter.  The rumor is that it'll be a Far Cry style single player game with an open world.  I guess we'll see sometime, though announcing it four years before release is a bit much, isn't that way too early?  The trailer was decently good, but that isn't a kind of game I find very interesting so who knows if I'll ever play it.  I've never played a Far Cry game for instance (other than maybe the demo of the first one once back when it released?).

As for Diablo V, everything I hear about the story sounds very very bad, like, 100% going all in on everything I hate the most about Diablo's story -- the 'demons are a massive unkillable force while good basically doesn't exist' thing and such.  Unless you are going for a Lovecraftian setting, both good and evil should exist!  But Diablo basically sidelines good, it's demons vs. humans and the humans are at an impossible disadvantage.  Ugh.

Otherwise, like, Diablo IV is still fairly recent, I wonder why this is a Diablo V and not another Diablo IV expansion.  Is it to get the game current gen only, as opposed to IV which also is on PS4/X1?  Was it just done for sales reasons, like, the IV expansions aren't selling well enough or something?  I will admit, while I liked the base game quite a bit, story aside, I never finished the story of the first Diablo IV expansion and haven't bought the second expansion yet.  I haven't played much of the game in the past year.  Even so it's a pretty fun game, I should play it again...

Oh, Warcraft III's second remaster and new addon?  I heard that they exist but haven't gone to watch what it is yet.  I got back into Starcraft Brood War a few years ago and still follow that game closely, but while I considered it I didn't get back into WCIII.  I played a few games a while back and got destroyed, and like, yeah, that happens in SC also, but at least there I understand why.  In WCIII the balance changes in the many patches over the years have changed the game so much that it feels very different, and I seem to have memory-holed a LOT more about WC3 than SC.  I'm sure I couldn't even name most of the units in WC3 right now, never mind all the skills and abilities that you must know in order to be competitive... it's funny, back in the '00s I thought that WC3 was a bit easier to play than SC, but now I'd say quite the opposite.  Both are hard but WC3 seems even harder.

(Remember, WC3 and SC2 get regular balance changes, while SC Brood War does not.  It hasn't had a balance patch since early 2001.  The state of the balance is in a precarious state, though -- Zerg is heavily dominant in the main Korean Starcraft tournament, ASL, these days.  Zergs have won all 6 ASL titles over the past three years and the current tourney is down to the final eight: 5 Zergs, 3 Terrans, and zero Protoss.  And the favorites to win are all Zergs.  But even so, because of the lack of balance changes, anyone going back to the game doesn't need to relearn how the game works, they just need to remember how to play.  It's a more doable thing than going back to WC3.)
