It looks like they remade Warcraft 3 again. Yes, past tense. It just came out like right this very now, out of nowhere.
They also added a whole new campaign involving the scarlet crusade going to war up in Northrend against the Lich King, last seen rocking out on an ice guitar.
It's going to be hard to append an extra chapter onto the original story after all these years with a lot of brand new writers, but looks like they're trying. No, I haven't plunked down the cash for it. I'm not really sure how interested I am after how badly they botched Reforged. At least the new attempt at graphical updates seems milder. I do hope they didn't just AI upscale everything...
There's going to be a Starcraft 3 scheduled for 2030, and a Diablo V scheduled for 2029. Huh... They're getting a bit more intense with these new games, but so far just a bunch of new entries in existing franchises. I'm more interested in seeing some brand new ideas.
Wowld of Wowcraft is getting some kind of retro mode, but completely revamped. I guess everyone's nostalgic for taking months to level a character and grinding a billion herbs to take on one wiped dungeon encounter and maybe pay for a horse. They're adding high elves. No higher elves. They live in the sky. C'mon guys, the year of sky stuff was a long time ago, with Skylander and Skyrim and Skyward Sword. Ya missed the airship! Everything's void now! Oh wait, looks like they're doing void stuff too. They got a dark elf lady floating around. Anyway, they did a total graphics revamp on the classic stuff so there's that. Looks decent, but I can't see myself dumping a lot of cash and time on an MMO grind again.
Overwatch got a new character. Still no story mode. I guess they dropped the 2? Too bad they didn't bring back the modes from 1.
