Yeah, getting Switch games in order to get a portable version of a game you also own for PC makes a lot of sense. The Xbox One or PS4, though... 4k and lower prices are reasons, but are they enough? I sure don't use my Xbox One much, and I've only had it for like six months now. I don't regret getting it, because it has some good exclusives and thanks to Games with Gold I've got a lot of games for that thing for not too much money, but GwG (or Xbox Games Pass as well now, though I don't subscribe to that) really are its main selling points for those of us without 4K TVs.
I'm not saying that I want games to not have PC versions though of course, it's more the opposite; it's awesome that more games have PC versions now. It's kind of cool that Microsoft is now releasing PC versions of all its Xbox One games now, too. But the combination of those makes it harder to justify most consoles.
... Oh, I do have one other positive for consoles, physical media is nice and that's almost completely dead on the PC. If you want an actual boxed copy of a game, in most cases you need to get a console for that. But then you probably have a not quite as good version of the game, so is it worth it? Some times there's not enough difference to matter so going for the physical console release is a fine choice, but not always.
(As for the main argument for the PS4, Sony's first-party games, my problem there is that I just don't care about most of their games. Sorry, I am not very interested in God of War, Uncharted, The Last of Us, Gran Turismo, and such. None of those are games I want to play.
I know the PS4 also has an equivalent to Games with Gold, but as I've never subscribed to PS Plus that doesn't mean much to me, I have no library for that platform... but for people who have it's about as good a reason as Xbox Live Gold is, though not quite as good because all PS Plus games are ones you only have while you are subscribed. With GwG of course it's the same on Xbox One, but not Xbox 360.)
