Microsoft is hoping that many of its upcoming first-party PC ports of Xbox One games, including Quantum Break, Killer Instinct (the new one), and Gears of War (remaster), Windows Store-exclusive, will get people to buy in. I hope that things do not go well for them on that, PC gaming as an open platform must continue. It is promising that GFWL failed and the first reaction here is similar, but... what is MS thinking? After the debacle that was GFWL, how could they think that trying something similar but even MORE restrictive would actually work?
