The game gets better once it stops with all the cutscenes, but it still deserves nothing but our derision. The game, discounting the writing, is riddled with poor decisions. Constant switching between first and third-person perspectives including while in combat, having health and missiles regenerate, holding your hand the whole way through, nixing the bulk of the series' trademarked exploration, and failing to heighten the mood of derelict space station with music [I've only heard a few random tracks in combat and cutscenes and they aren't particularly good or memorable].
Sometimes you get the scorpion.
