    Actually it's Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy. The Final Fantasy comes after the subtitle. Also, Duodecim is latin for 12, so you don't need to say the 012 part.

    I don't know what the deal is lately with bizarre subtitles. I prefer something that I can actually understand beforehand without the need for translation. Might as well make Final Fantasy into Latin while they're at it.

    Here's what the 012 refers to. The story of Dissidia is that an inventor from one world was tasked with making the ultimate weapon, and so he did it the lazy smart way and used an evolutionary algorithm. He created a pocket dimension and took warriors from other realms and trapped them in it. He also created two "gods" of this realm, Cosmos and Chaos, and they each picked warriors to fight for them from them. The two sides are forced to fight until one side remains, at which point the world is "reset" by another powerful entity (Shinryu) and the whole thing starts over again. Everyone's memories are wiped, except for one, the one that is intended to become stronger with each adulteration. This is intended to continue cycle after cycle until that single entity becomes the ultimate weapon. 012 refers to the 12th cycle, the setting for this game. (The previous game takes place during the 13th cycle, making this a prequel).

    Speaking of weird names with barely an explanation, Kingdom Hearts 358/2. That's pronounced "358 over 2" not "358 divided by 2". I've figured out the meaning behind it. The 358 part refers to the fact the story takes place over 358 days, the time Roxas was in the Organization. The "over 2" part refers to the fact this time is shared between Roxas and another important character.
