Getting back into another, proper WRPG has shown me all over again why I don't really care for MMOs. For the past few days I've been playing, and playing, Divinity 2 [which is actually the third game in the series] and it's pretty good. It's got that janky, maybe it's broken but it's kind of hard to tell that you get from a lot of Euro RPGs, but, at the same time, it's also really, incredibly fun.

It's pretty similar to most other RPGs out there, except that this game actually allows you to turn into a dragon and fly around, which is actually pretty nice. You can breath fire and such and fight other dragon-like enemies. There's also a ton of loot everywhere, which is something that I can appreciate as well.

Another thing that I like about it is its somewhat twisted sense of humor, which crops up from time to time. Maybe it's the the translation from German to English, but some parts seem downright goofy. But it's a nice change from the super-seriousness that pervades most other WRPGs, even if it still does dip from that well quite often.

Environments are nice to look at, with some decent variety, and there's also little hidden places and things to find, so exploring rarely ever feels like a chore.

The main downside is the combat gets pretty repetitive really quick and it's easy to manipulate the game's quirks to give you an advantage. In the game, after a few hours you get an ability that allows your character to jump really high. Well, you can this to jump on top of something and shoot guys with your bow, they can't jump so they just sit there like lumps and get killed [unless they're magic-users or use ranged weapons]. I abuse this quite often actually. Minor gripes there, and in a few other places, but nothing game-breaking.

Basically, I like this game. It's [almost] everything that I like about WRPGs all rolled into one.
    Sometimes you get the scorpion.
