And then complaining that they were running from the wind in the Happening? are you serious? Haven't you ready ANY King or Koontz? like, ever? they ran from fog, rain, wind, darkness, light, trucks, cars, bicycles, snow and a fucking clown. And you're upset that a movie that tells you at the start of the film that AN AIRBORNE VIRUS IS INFECTING HUMAN BEINGS which causes the players of the film to avoid strong winds???? REALLY?

It has little to do with the concept, it's all in the execution. You can see this look of absolute fear in the character's eyes as the wind SLOWLY creeps across the ground toward them, you can practically see a guy somewhere off to the side tilting a giant fan. The whole scene is absolutely ridiculous. But, then again, so is pretty much every other scene in the whole movie.

Yeah it was, and it's pretty awful too.
