Basic idea:
Iran says they need higher grades to run medical and research, generation of power, etc.
UN agrees with it as it becomes incrementally more powerful grades.
Iran legally makes weapons-grade plutonium.
Way back when, they had old Russian warheads which were purchased and 'probably stable' but when it was investigated, all we found were huge (empty) storerooms that had trace amounts of radiation. These were purchased weapons and still exist somewhere and if you notice the Iranian missiles tests being done they are trying to up the distance and trajectory accuracy with missiles large enough to hold old russian nuclear warheads.
That guy in the video is basically the scientist in every sci-fi who wants to 'communicate with the monster' and 'not be so hasty' who of course dies a horrible death at the hands of the monster.
