I actually do that already, minus using numbers and symbols. I'll only put them in if the site requires it, and only use numbers that I'm personally partial to (I know, I'm a nerd) that no one else would know about.

Originally, my password followed the same schema, but toven asked us to change our passwords after our site was hacked at one point. I changed mine, but stupidly didn't write it down.
