I was talking about ABF, look at his spelling. He even capitalizes countries, do you know hard that is for a retard? The dude cant even wipe. Cant even fucking wipe, but he can type like a mother fuck.
Little Shop of Horrors was my first venture in to the genius of Steve Martin and Rick Moranis and musicals in general, I then went nuts finding every film they were in. My favorite Steve Martin role was in Plains Trains and Automobiles for personal reasons and of course Rick's best is in his music but his acting is great too, he brings something to the table thats rarely scene in films - sincerity (even as a gravedigger, which was lol) I bet you'd love Agoraphobic Cowboy which is fucking hilarious and he made it because he's a bizarre depressed Canadian. His Dark Helmet character has to be his best, I wonder if he agrees. No matter how many times I see that movie, when ever he flips his mask up and goes from a deep and sultry Rastafarian english professor with more confidence than a porn star to his whirlwind of ineptitude with the voice of a teenager who doesn't quite fit in (in any given situation) I chortle heartily. He has an amazing voice.
Steve Martin was the perfect choice for dentist... if they re-did it they'd have to get Jim Carrey but he might over-do the physical comedy. Steve Martin's facial expressions were perfect but Ellen Greene stole the show with her amazing songs. That fucking plant... still gives me nightmares. I cant look at tentacle rape porn because I always imagine the tentacles are actually coming from an Audrey II off-screen yucking it up as the hapless virgins are orgasm'd to death. I thought the parallel of the affection he gave to the plant was interesting because the plant was literally his 'work'. The more lonely and the more attention he put in to 'work' the more he was noticed (getting Audrey's attention too), but then his work became all he was and the plant, with actual ROOTS was solidifying him in the ghetto and doing the opposite of what he was hoping to accomplish (then his 'work' was going to spread out of the ghetto, but leave Rick's character behind). I didnt understand the importance of electrocuting the plant tho, iconically he should have chopped off the roots or.... something. Something that let Rick physically overcome his connection to the plant instead of literally connecting him to it. I dunno, reading too far in I guess.
Anyway your love of Little Shop of Horrors is shared. :D I made a puppet in 6th grade out of monkey mask parts that I painted green and memorized all the songs and got beat up, it was awesome.
