Terrible idea if you mean destroying the review and comics forums, and merging Tendo and Rumble into one...

I could see merging the two gaming forums and the two other forums, but the review forums would be useless if merged -- the whole point is to separate that stuff, and it's a good one -- and the same goes for the comics. Those absolutely must stay separate -- as should gaming and nongaming, really, merging those would be an awful idea! I want to know what something is by what forum it's in... this would be a very bad idea if you go as far as you're suggesting.

I really like having things categorized. Mixing everything into one big thing is exactly the kind of "organization" I can't stand...

I mean, I'm pretty bad at organizing things in practice, but at least I always try.

For proof of both of those points, all one would have to do is look at my computer's filesystem and my semi-successful attempts to keep every kind of group of files in separate folder trees, with levels for each branch -- so you have the Demos folder with all the demos in it (on that partition), an emulation folder with subfolders for each manufacturer, then subfolders there for each system, then subfolders there for each emulator, the roms, etc. It's the same for music. That's how I do things, and it's how I like it. So no, keep most of the subforums.

As I said above though, merging Tendo and Multiconsole... perhaps. Merging Ramble and Philociraptor, or making Philociraptor a subfolder of Ramble... also perhaps. Those two changes might be reasonable.
