And that's the difference between having a 3d card and not having one. Anyone planning on using their computer for games should consider a decent 3d card as an absolute necessity, onboard graphics chips are awful.
My computer's 2 1/2 years old now, but it's still a pretty good machine that can run anything... though the fact that PC gaming isn't what it used to be certainly helps out with that, of course. If PC games were still strong we'd have seen lots of games now that would utterly choke my computer on higher settings, but as it is Crysis is one of the only ones and that's several years old now. It's sad... :(
.... Oh yeah, how did you die? I tried standing where I thought was right under the Thwomp, but nothing happened. It's bouncing up and down too fast for it to actually hit me I guess. (Also, the game has no slowdown for me at 1280x960 with 50 droids and the Thwomp. Technically there's a moment of slowdown when I start the game or come back from a pause, but other than that nothing really.
