Yeah, it makes a little more sense (or at least it fits in better with videogame stereotypes) in the original version where you're rescuing your kidnapped girlfriend from an evil gang... but the Christian remix version, yeah, that is a pretty silly plot. Does that make it better, for having such an outlandish plot? :)
