Maxis, Pandemic, and the Command & Conquer 4 teams all evidently might have gotten the axe...

Losing Maxis would be awful, they haven't been that great in a while but still, they're a classic PC developer. Evidently the The Sims team was spun off into a separate studio, and then Will Wright sort of quit I think, so the writing was on the wall... but still, very sad. Maxis is/was a great developer. :(
As for the C&C people, this isn't the first C&C team, so they could just move it to another team again, like they did when they closed Westwood... and evidently they're not being fired until the game is finished. But Maxis... :(
