I recently began FF8 anew and I like it pretty well. I haven't been able to play it lately, though, due to school and work consuming all my free time. Still, it is underrated. I don't find the junction system all that hard, personally. It took me a little while to get the hang of it back in the day, but I guess since I've played the game enough in the past to know how it works, it doesn't seem all that complicated to me now.
I still prefer FF7 though. I recently played through it again for the... fifth time? Yeah. Great game that needed no sequels, prequels, movies, cell phone games, novels, or remakes of the aforementioned... though the original game itself could use a remake. Damn Square Enix...
I've played through most of though have not yet beaten FF4 on DS. It's absolutely masterful (except for my one complaint about all the "dead" characters mysteriously returning with no explanation near the end of the game). I also enjoy FF6 and FF9 in spite of a few flaws. Man, I'd love to just spend the entire summer playing through those all the SNES and PSX FFs (except maybe FF5). I'd probably even give FFX another go. But yeah, back to my résumé... I miss being a kid! :Gonk:
