I'm willing to give our new Messiah a chance.
But I would also dearly love for this collective worldwide Obama fellatio to stop as soon as possible. The man has done absolutely nothing yet to deserve it. Being the first (technically) black man elected president serves as a testament to our nation more than to anything Obama himself said or did. He was elected because America currently values expectation over experience. And this is not to say that Obama is destined to fail. I don't think he will, and I hope he won't. But he has sold a ton of hope to Americans on credit, and he has practically zero experience in an executive position. Can he possibly repay? Can a man elected because of his personal popularity make unpopular choices when the need arises?
