If Obama doesn't win this election, the Democratic party should toss it in forever. Considering the state of affairs of this election and the last two, the Democrats should have had an unbroken streak going back to 1992. That they don't shows that the party doesn't organize itself well. Even in this election, McCain has been closer to Obama than the situation warrants him having any right being.

That said, Kerry was winning the 2004 election right up until it was over, so don't pop the champagne just yet.
