What? Of course I got the joke... if you know Escher's work, you absolutely don't have to know about that game to understand that comic. Going from the first frame to the third it becomes an impossible shape... where did you get the idea I didn't get the joke, when from my first comment I made it quite clear that I understood it? Just because I didn't know about the game?
If that's your reasoning, you're saying that you don't think that the game is Esher-inspired, essentially, and Wikipedia proves you wrong on that point.
