"Jumped the shark"? What would that even mean in this context?
At this point, Sony's really starting to hold their own with the PS3, against all odds. They'll never overtake the Wii, but I think the 360 may have some competition in the months ahead.
7th generation eh? Do those "single game" systems like Home Pong really even count as a generation? That's like counting the old tiger electronics handhelds as a generation of portables (or Game & Watches for that matter, but in spite of Nintendo's insistance in jamming that "naustalgia" down our throats, I'm pretty sure people in America only ever played the Tiger ones and never heard of Nintendo's own single game portables until Nintendo started pumping out collections of them for Gameboy).
