I saw it twice, actually... both times I thought the same thing, that it was okay but not great. 'Good' maybe?

I watched part of the first episode of Allison & Lillia, it looked pretty good.

Yeah, it's good. Good plot and pacing, decent characters (stereotypical like all anime, but at least somewhat different), nice setting (early 20th century style world)... it's definitely interesting. :)
