Dark Jaguar Wrote:You misread me. I have never gotten dizzy because an in-game camera was spinning around. In fact, I watched this movie. I thought it was pretty good, except it could have done without the ENTIRE "introduce the characters" thing. I think learning about the characters VIA the crisis (core) would have been more compelling.
Thats why I said you need patience to get through the slow start up, All you see is "Hud" yakking away with all these strange people making it dull untill all the mayhem starts.
I wonder what the film would have been like ? had it not been a gimmicky cam movie? The premise to Blair witch was that the film was a recovered tape from missing college students , The promoters of blair witch cleverly hoaxed people into believing it was a true story.
Cloverfeild didn't have any of BWP justifications for doing it cam style,It could have easily been a regular orthodox monster/suspense film , The Cam corder perspective too me was done solely to seperate it from other existing films with the same common plot, Like the Stephen King movie the Mist, Which I thought was better.
