The CG scenes have been redone and I like the look. There are also a bunch of new ones. One very important video was removed though, and that's the one you see when you wait for a while on the title screen. That would happen to be the entire background of the war of the lions and why it's happening. The thing is, that one was just 2D images panning around and fading in so they didn't need to update it. They didn't even need to make it wide screen, and the new translation didn't alter any of the names in that video so they didn't need to alter that either. Kinda important to leave out, but the gist is still in the instruction booklet.
Summons no get updated. In fact the battle scenes, aside from being wide now, were not updated in the least. No graphical changes.
I figure you know what a dark knight is (it was already on one character, it's just others can now play as it now). An onion knight? I STILL don't know what that is. In FF3 it was everyone's starter class, which obtained the abilities of all the other classes you leveled up and could equip the legendary "onion gear". The remake of 3 replaced onion with a different "bare" class but onion knight is still in the game as a hidden class. Same concept. I guess in this game the onion knight will basically inherit all other mastered classes' "native" abilities. Not really sure though, as I haven't unlocked it. Not sure if they also added onion gear to the game, but I figure if anyone could just out and out FORGE it, it would be you eh?
