It happened
Bungie is independant
Microsoft owns the Halo IP
Bungie still has a publishing deal with Microsoft
Microsoft gets rights of first refusal on future Bungie games and properties
Microsoft owns around 45% of Bungie

Effectively, it's the same as before.

Jak 3 : Jet Set Radio Future : Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee : Final Fantasy XII : Shadow of the Colossus : more to come...
