Well ABF, it's not like everyone HAS to upgrade the 360 to support all the features the PS3 has. Very few people are bothering with the wifi adapter, and really that's the thing. Sony could have lowered the cost more if they made a lot of the "standard" features opt-ins for rich kids. The 360 doesn't cost "more" if you don't actually BUY the wifi adapter or bigger hard drive. The online network only raises it to $450, and that's really not even a question but a MUST. Anyway, if Sony catches up in terms of a good online network, and it's still free, and PC gamers get that Live network going for free, MS will pretty much be forced to allow the online componet for free and make the money off that store.
