Xbox Tiny Keyboard: why?!

If it was a full-sized keyboard, at least it would have uses beyond just IM... but mini-sized? Why?

In case you weren't aware, it snaps on to the controller. I'm just guessing that Microsoft doesn't want you to have to put down the controller.

Microsoft has been pretty stern on not wanting to turn the 360 in to a computer (they say that, but...). They have most certainly said they don't want a keyboard or mouse for gameplay on the 360.
