He means a trend of gory/"mature" games could be released for a Nintendo platform, which would be new. Most of these types of games are released on Sony/Microsoft's consoles.
I didn't know Manhunt or a game where you can strangle people (too bad it's a movie game) were coming out on Wii. Good news all around. I always thought Manhunt's premise sounded cool, and it was on the list of games I would buy if I ever gave in and bought a PS2 (which I expect to be dirt cheap by the time I actually do buy one).
Maybe they changed the game's style for REmake, but over-the-top gore and a goofy storyline is something I've always come to expect from Resident Evil. Giant mutant spiders and plants, and re-animated corpses? All from the same virus that was inexplicably created by a big, evil corporation? And it all takes place in a spooky mansion that the owners felt the need to infuse with complex puzzles? How realistic is that?
This is like arguing that the remake of Dawn of the Dead was stupid, because the corpses ran instead of staggering. ...it's a movie about ZOMBIES. Arguing about suspension of disbelief is a little silly.

Quote:RE used to have somewhat milder violence, at least somewhat realistic, but I guess it's back to 30 cubic megameters of blood from a pin prick style violence.
