Magnet? Not so much. It's just that it is much more easily destroyed and there's nothing like the underside of some stairs or a basement to hide in. It isn't more likely to be hit by a tornado, it's just more vulnerable to it.
Nothing wrong with car parts scattered around, if you're a mechanic or are using that to make money. I can say what little I've seen of trailer parks I don't actually see car parts scattered around, just run down cars, which is to be expected. These people aren't upgrading to hybrid any time soon, because they CAN'T.
