Well for one thing, it isn't very "mobile" at all. It's just easier to load up on a massive mover than the standard house.
Really though the issue isn't the home so much as the circumstances that lead the average person to take up residence therein. Very rarely does anyone ever willingly domicile in such a place. The rest follows.
