When he had that bad 4 game stretch in the middle of the season he was pretty much told his job was on the line when Brian Griese took half the snaps in practice that week. He then came out and had his best game of the year against the Rams. I think a little pressure would do Grossman good next year, and I really hope he succeeds because the Bears can't start over at the QB position when they have a team with this much potential. Grossman did have good games against two good NFC teams in the Seahawks and Giants (well, they made the playoffs, but maybe they weren't good), and he played pretty well against the Pats even though they lost the game so he can play well against good teams. Check Favre's stats for his first two years and see how well he did. I can say fairly confidently that his team didn't make the Super Bowl that first year.
