You have to consider that this was pretty much his rookie year since he had freak injuries his first two seasons that kept him from playing. I'm not saying that excuses him for sucking in the Super Bowl, but the Bears played pretty bad overall so it probably wouldn't have mattered if he had a bad game. And the comparisons to Brett Favre are exactly why I support Grossman. Favre has the 3rd most interceptions in NFL history, but has a Super Bowl ring and will be in the Hall of Fame when he retires because of what he does when he's not throwing interceptions. Favre was Grossman-esque when he was a young player and made a lot of dumb plays so it's not stretching it to think that Grossman can pull things together as well. Brian Griese came in a few times this season and showed nothing special on the field. As Fittisize said there's a reason Griese is the backup. I'm giving Grossman another season to see what he's got, because right now I don't see any quarterbacks out there with more potential that the Bears could pick up.
