I thought of this, but it is easier to hit face buttons than shoulder buttons, so that's not really an issue... and it's easy to move the thumb around the button pad. Switching between a trigger and a shoulder button? Not quite as much. Doable, but not as easily...

Besides, it can work better to have a finger dedicated to each button than for your thumb to have solitary control over 6 buttons and a control stick. Some games need 4 shoulder buttons due to the thumbs being too busy controlling analog sticks to take the time to press other buttons.
Yes, and like GC games that make you use the Z button often, those are the ones I would dislike. :)
