Yeah that whole "third pillar" thing Iwata and Reggie tried to feed us was bull. The DS is the new Nintendo handheld. There may be another iteration of Game Boy sometime down the road, but come on, did anyone REALLY expect that the GBA and DS would coexist? Truly? Why do you think they built in GBA compatability? If it succeeded, it would end the GBA, and if it failed, they GBA is a nice cozy brand for Nintendo to fall back on.
Now that the DS is going strong, the Game Boy is losing support. I wonder why.
