Exactly. People bitched then, people will bitch now. The difference is that we're long past the days of 80 dollar carts that were marked up simply because Square charged that much in Japan or because Toysrus thinks Mortal Kombat will be so popular they can charge whatever they want. We're paying 50 now, 25 dollar DS games, 19.99 player's choice and the highest tier next gen games for 60 where the excuse for the mark up is eitrher 'oh it's HD' or 'covering higher production cost' which is all BS. 80 bucks for a game better come with something, whether it's swag or bonus material, but even then it wont convince me of a purchase. Especially with it looking no better than 360 and offering nothing else above and beyond a PS2 with better graphics.
The bottom line is that it costs more money to make films. Titanic had a production cost of over 100 million dollars, you can buy it on DVD for 15. Zelda: TP has a production cost of around 20 million, but to own it you must pay 50. Bullshit flag.
