I'd preorder games that are actually being released at launch.
I myself hate how they keep pressing me to preorder everything, or say "remember to bring in your used games for trade", as though I forgot or that would actually be desirable! I avoid preorders at a certain distance because if they eventually have a preorder bonus, I've missed out. If they cancel it, I've missed out. If someone buys it for me for whatever reason, I've wasted money. Let me make this clear. When they say they will "refund" your money on a preorder, they mean store credit. Let's say that's the ONLY game there I will ever want, for a long time. That $5 is gone, GONE! Hijacked!
