Fact is, we don't know enough about this case to say anything at all about what happened. He just CALLED the police station and asked them to look into this. I think he's desperate to gain back credibility. Unfortunatly, he seems to not realize that in order to do that PROPERLY he needs to adjust his statements to accuratly describe reality, not insist on them at all possible points until one of them is accurate. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
