If it's a propriatary SD card, then that pretty much defeats the whole point doesn't it? Which is, well, to be able to use the same card in other devices that use SD cards and store pictures and music on it, which in turn can be used in games like Mario Artist. For all end user purposes, it's a new Nintendo memory card, and that's not really all that exciting. It's basically just like MS's proprietary memory cards for the 360.
But oh well. Here's hoping the thing actually does support actual factual SD cards instead of some Nintendo thing that can only be used on Nintendo's system.
