And sure ninjas have "flip out and kill everyone" powers, but pirates have awesome one liners that actually aid them in the sword fight. Remember, the one with the most cutting insult is the superior sword...ist.

Plus, pirates have all sorts of mystical curses and stuff. You know, curses that seem to do a lot more FOR them than against them, like being undead while maintaining all your mental faculties?
Of course, ninjas have all that crazy magic stuff like ninja homing stars.

DJ, undead pirates are okay... but they can be so much more than that! Such as demon zombie ghost pirates... no ninja could ever stand up to such a being. :)

It's tough though... Pirates are cool, and Ninjas are cool too... who wins depends on which kind of pirate you're talking about, I think (and what kind of ninja too, I guess...). Undead/ghost/demon pirates win. :)
Anyone ever have teachers that attempted to get class interest by compairing whatever they were teaching to sports, at all possible times, regardless of whether the analogy even made sense?
I seem to recall a history teacher trying to get the class interested in the battles of ancient Rome by comparing the soldiers of Rome to football players. Basically he actually had a chart comparing all the equipment of a football player to the equipment of a soldier, right down to calling the football a sword.

Sorry, but a game player can in no way ever dare to compare themselves to an actual soldier. The "enemy" in any sport is not actually attempting to KILL them. They are just attempting to score a point. Also, in a sport, anything goes does not slide, not with that referee guy there. In a war, all is fair as they say. Seriously, you stick a football player in the middle of a battlefield and, unless the guy also happens to be a soldier, he's pretty much dead. And last I checked, you don't toss a sword back and forth in a game of keep away in battle.
MI4 may not have been as good, but you are forgetting his final transformation into the politician demon zombie ghost pirate. I'm pretty sure him being a politician really was intended as a "this is the worst form yet!" type of joke.

Oh, I remembered those facts (and he's a politician from the beginning; it's just that in the end he gets a giant robot too... and you fight him in your giant monkey robot...). I was just intentionally leaving that part out, despite their humor factor, to show my overall dislike for that game. :) (and yes, it was definitely a 'this is the worst form yet!' joke... kind of funny too, actually... it's not that that game was never funny... it's just that compared to the first three games, it was dissapointing. MI1 and MI3 were just so amazingly fantastic that a game that is just ... kind of good, I guess... did not compare.)

Hmm... if it's a straight-out fight, I'm not sure. Cervantes is awesome, but LeChuck can't be beaten by normal means... you need to beat him trickily with puzzles. I'm not sure if Cervantes is smart enough to win... :)

Yeah, but they really don't do much hording. Pirates have seminars and stuff all about that. Ninjas just kill. They might accidently slit a random throat and go back and when the ninja boss asks them if they have it they would be all "oh great, I didn't get it, ah geez what did I even do back there? Wait a sec".
