So, can a lightsaber cut through adamantium?

I don't think so. Isn't adamantium nigh indestructible?
24th March 2005, 2:04 PM
Yeah, but lightsabers are supposed to be able to cut through just about anything.
Sometimes you get the scorpion.

There are a few things lightsabers can't cut through, but I don't know if adamantium is one of them...
24th March 2005, 2:33 PM
Grievous' guards in Episode III have staffs with special electrical thingies that run around them which basically disables lightsabers.
24th March 2005, 2:35 PM
The amphistaffs the Yuuzhan Vong warriors have can't be cut by lightsabers.
24th March 2005, 2:42 PM
Hey I've seen a number of things the lightsabers didn't cut through, and a number of things they just had a really hard time cutting through, like those doors they really had to work at to get through when that... um... it was in episode 1 and they were cutting through what looked like a bank vault door.
It's not like any sort of laser thing could ever hope to have infinite unending power. Eh, oh well, I do want to know what that bar Zero ripped out of a walkway in MMX4 was made out of to be able to take on a beam saber. Adamentium is just a cheap rip from Silmarrillion anyway. AdamenTITE, now THAT's the original. The dark elven twin swords forged from a fallen star made from that strange metal, those were destined to clash against each other one day. You know, typical stuff like that, but that's like stronger than mythril.

Actually they stole it from a cartoon series. Adam-Ant-ium. Ha!

Wasn't it Atom Ant?

What? Are you questioning my findings that I took all of two seconds to see and then turn into a hilarious joke? I'm angry! *is angry*

Look, when Squeenix makes deals with EVERY COMPANY ON THE PLANET for the 3rd Kingdom Hearts game, we'll find out. Behold as Luke Skywalker fights side by side with Roger Rabbit and Megaman why not?

George Lucas owns Star Wars though.

What doesn't George Lucas own.

Your mom.
Oooh! Ooh ooh!
24th March 2005, 11:45 PM
Yes, and Capcom owns Megaman. I'm saying Squeenix will make deals with EVERY company on the planet to put EVERY fictional character that's ever been into their games. For example, the world's first super hero, Gumbercules!
And all things considering, George Lucas would TOTALLY allow it. After all, the story teaches a powerful lesson: "It doesn't MATTER what you think would be cool, this whole mixing IS happening, so deal with it!"

Why would George Lucas add Star Wars to Kingdom Hearts?
Sometimes you get the scorpion.
25th March 2005, 9:43 AM
And Capcom, like just about every other company out there, is run by many people, and has many shareholders. Lucas, the man himself, owns everything Star Wars. He does not have to appease any shareholders.
25th March 2005, 1:58 PM
Yeah, LucasFilm/Arts is a private entity that is, as far as I know, owned completely by Lucas himself.
Sometimes you get the scorpion.
25th March 2005, 2:13 PM
As well as the other Lucas businesses... Skywalker Sound, THX, etc... and all because of Star Wars.
25th March 2005, 2:18 PM
Yeah, without the success of Star Wars its likely that there would be no Lucasfilm as we know it today.
Sometimes you get the scorpion.
25th March 2005, 3:10 PM
You FOOL! Squeenix does NOT cow to a mere Lucas! He WILL submit to them, and open his heart to it, because he would be able to join in the money party all the companies would have!
...look it was a freakin' joke... Don't let your idolizing of some guy somewhere ruin it.

I realized that was a joke, DJ. I was just pointing out that it's much easier to take over a regular corporation than a single person's property.

George Lucas swims around in a giant money bin just like Scrooge McDuck.

Does he have a number 1 dime?
... WOAH! What if like... Pete has that relic from the Duck Tails movie (anyone see that one?) that when attached to a genie's lamp, gives you infinite wishes, and then he put it on Jafar's lamp? And another thing, it used to be the reason Reploids went Maverick was because they had Free Will now and could CHOOSE to do that! Then they ruined that by making the worst mistake ever, the whole "Zero made the Maverick Virus" bit of the story! I mean, yeesh, remove all semblence of the whole POINT of the X series why don't ya?
