    Great news!

    http://pc.ign.com/articles/595/595073p1.html

(that URL should be a little hint... :))

They say it's going to be a third bigger, content-wise, than the original game, too...

It'll never, of course, live up to its original descriptions, but Molyneux never lets the reality of what he actually can do by the time the game has to be released get in the way of making the perfect starting feature list...

It's a Molyneux game. Expect less than he says you'll get when he first announces it. That's what it ends up with.

A lot of people like a lot of stuff. The game failed to deliver on just about every level. In the end it turned out to be a repetitive hack and slash that had potential.

It was fun for the 15 hours it took to beat, I haven't touched it since.

OB1 used to think it was a good game but due to the hype it just was underwhelming. Now he thinkgs it's not even that good if you never even heard of the game before it came out. I agree with the latter. So does Penny Arcade, which OB1 must have read between now and then.

At any rate, I mentioned this before, but I got annoyed by that game from the very start when I found out you have a massively ridiculous time between points where saving actually SAVES something. Later sure, it's only during missions where you can't save, but to make it so you can't save for the entire childhood bit? Sure, not THAT long, but it's long enough, and something that I want to get "perfect" enough, that I want to at least be able to save when I succeed at something so if I mess up a later challenge I don't have to do it all over again.

    ...

Ya know this is just great... Why on earth did I even bother getting the XBox version anyway? Had I known a superior version was going to be released I never would have...

That's why they didn't announce the PC version until now, of course. To get people who'd rather get the PC version to buy it for X-Box. I'm sure MS paid them something for the limited exclusivity...

Uh, nothing Tycho or Gabe said about the game changed my opinion on it. I disagree with plenty of stuff they say.

I've just gotten a bit more jaded, is all. Ok so maybe it is a pretty good game if you forget all of the hype, but Molynuex haunts me in my dreams, taunting me with giant open fields and wondrous mountains to frolick in. I still stand by my original statement that it's one of the biggest gaming dissapointments ever. And it is a good game. Just not that great. If I gave out scores I'd give it a 7/10.

When did 5 become the bottom of the scale? :D

Yeah, I know, I was kidding with you OB1. Honestly though, I do agree, it's not that good a game even if you never heard of it... It's sheer unrealized potential really... Okay, not a horrible game, but not a great game. Just... a good game really. So much missed potential... And when you, like you for example, know what they originally promised (but will never admit to NOW :D), well... you've said all this before yourself so I really don't need to go on.

Anyway, suffice it to say that this whole PC version thing is only really upsetting to me because it is rather rude of them to not even tell us they are going to be releasing it... They could give us some sort of Fable expansion for the XBox version... but I have a feeling it would end up cheaper just to sell my XBox version and get the PC version. Honestly, I have a PC controller and don't see the point holding on to an inferior version...

Anyway, suffice it to say the XBox lineup lost one more exclusive, not that it's their killer app though... Honestly, it's times like this I wonder why I even OWN this thing. Someone remind me!

DJ, it was originally going to be a PC game you know, thus making an eventual PC port quite likely -- like Halo.

7 is good! I said the game is good, so 7/10 is good. But if you were to judge the game by what they promised, I'd give it a -7/10.

That's a good quote Welty... but there is one thing they might mean. They might mean "or else you will all kill yourselves off".

Ya know, there's a reason why whiny protest songs from the 1960's is considered one of the circles of hell.

That game really pissed me off since I was expecting too much from it, but it wasn't as bad as some people make it out to be. I never did end up finishing it, though.

You didn't finish it? It's not exactly a long game, took me about 10-12 hours.

I just got bored. I went around and did every quest so I didn't follow the main plot much until I was forced to. I think I ended up getting hooked to another game, but I can't remember what game it was.
