Mario Kart DS delayed, Super Mario Bros. DS gets a release date

Various websites are reporting that Nintendo has changed the dates for Mario Kart DS and Super Mario Bros. DS. Originally, Mario Kart was scheduled to be released at the beginning of 2005, but it's now been pushed back to May. Super Mario Bros. DS, a new, original 2D side-scrolling Mario game, will be released on February 25, 2005.

Nintendo still hasn't revealed details regarding wireless/online play for Mario Kart DS. Wireless play is pretty much a given, but online play is still up in the air. Hopefully Nintendo will give us some details on that soon.

Wow, I hope they show off some new screens of SMB DS soon. That's awesome news.

Too bad about Mario Kart though. Hopefully that'll mean online play. If not... :cuss:

Don't count on it... good news about Mario though, could be good. I would like to see more.

At least we're getting a new 2D Mario game in the first quarter.

Don't count on it? Miyamoto recently stated that Nintendo is going online sooner than we think (which I suppose could be the year 2046 since that's sooner than most of us think...), and that Square is already working on online DS stuff. There's also supposed to be a big DS announcement in March. So...
