The NES game... only Mega Man game with a score. Hard... :) Will someone else win (or bother to enter)? I've won all 3 of the new challenges...

Ah, a game I actually own. Okay, I'll give it a shot. However, this is hardly the hardest Mega Man game. Well, the start of Guts Man's level is :D. Jump now, no! The bosses are the easiest of all the Mega Man games, save maybe the two PC exclusive games from what I've heard. I mean really, I could stand in a corner and shoot more than a few of them without getting hurt!

Here's the question, are we allowed to use the pause damage glitch or not?

Man, if I didn't have three exams this week I'd try this one out. Maybe I'll get to it next week. I just hope I'm as good at the game on an emulator as I am on the actual NES.

Hmm, that version of Mega Man crashes my emulator. How unfortunate. What program do you guys use for NES emulation? I use RockNES and it's been pretty good up until now.

Haha, the idea of someone actually selling a game emulator is funny to me... They did it with Bleem, but wow did that go far :D.

Hmm. Tough... In this game I beat Cut Man and died at Fire Man. I don't know the order of bosses in this game...

It's Mega Man! If what you mean is weapon weaknesses, then I actually forget right now. Most weakness charts I remember, oh and MM2 is special. There, most of the bosses are weak against metal blades. They are blades made of metal of all things! Wow!

Damn, Mega Man was a lot easier for me to beat when I was eight. Brings back fond memories.

Are we allowed to use the quick save?

Of course not! If quicksave was allowed it would make the contest pointless... you could keep reloading and getting a super high score...

I always use quicksave in roms because of how useful it is at avoiding really annoying parts of games... but not when its in a contest. Of course its all by the honor system, but that is necessary. Oh well...

Oh, and the levels in MM1 are REALLY hard!

Heck, with the honor system in mind I have no beef with people just posting their scores without taking snapshots. That way those who can't get emulators to work can just play on their NES or something and post a score that way. It's Weltall's game of course, but I'll say I have no problem with just posting your score. It's not like you can't alter the pics anyway :D. We trust ya!

Here's the question that wasn't answered. Can we use the pause damage trick? I mean, I've never considered glitches cheating (just a loop hole, like a dog playing basket ball), but in many contests there are special rules, usually applying to glitches, or some of the more powerful intended stuff. Eh, I'll assume it is allowed.

Alright, I'll play with my Dreamcast NES emulator then. This 99 cent controller that I bought from circuit city is a piece of crap.

It's not my game anymore. ABF is in control, ladies and gentlemen. I had to close his forum, so that's the least I could do for him.

Incidentally, closing that forum and moving the CGC here has definitely had a positive impact.

I don't know about not posting screenshots... that way you have to take it completely on trust... I'd much prefer if you did post them...

Oh, and it just makes sense for me to be in control of the game... I've won all 3 so far and also have way more roms than anyone else here... :)

Then spend $20 and get a new one (there are great gamepads available for $20...)... but I guess you can post a number... if you must.

Yeah, it's really pretty much on trust anyway. I trust everyone here not to cheat. Well, except for THAT guy *points in a very unspecific way*.

Whoever designed the moving platforms on Guts Man's level were sadists... I think I'll leave that level for last from now on... I didn't get past the second platform... they move REALLY FAST, and dump you off with no warning...

I would love to complete, but I can't. I'm honestly not that good at video games. The only CGC I've won is Marble Madness, but on second thought, I think Weltall pulled out ahead in that too. I loved mastering Marble Madness. :)

Okay, now I've proved to myself I suck. I won't even bother posting my high score. I tried four different levels, and I got at most three screens in before dying. My highscore was roughly 2000. It's safe to consider me out of this round. :)

EdenMaster is in Search of the armor that will unite all Trigger units. The epitome shall arise during key insertion. Humanity shall see the truth of so called "reaver".
