Wow, I sure didn't know about this one.

Well, now we know why the five old GB MM games aren't in MM Collection!

    http://www.n-philes.com/php/epzefvufuaelyvpeyafz.php

Click. And look at the pics (stupid N-Philes and their broken link images!).

Hmm... so now we've got MM1-8, 1-5GB, 9 for GBA... what's next? MMX1-3? MMX1-6? Something with the two GBC MMX games? Who knows, except for the fact that Capcom is pushing out MM games about five times a year recently...

    Oh yeah...

Quote:Mega Man Mania, for those of you who don't know, is a collection of the five original GameBoy games. The games have been redone in vibrant color, and includes an art gallery, as well as some Mega Man history. Capcom has announced a release date of March 23rd, 2004.

They look great colorized. But given the EXTREME rarity of MM3-5 for GB, even if it was just the B&W versions it'd be very well worth getting...

MMV GB was already in color, but now it's even more colorful. I believe I shall pick this up, as I only had MMV for GB and that was stolen some time ago at that.

Now then, let's just hope they put that one battle tower thing from Mega Man Wily Wars (the Genesis game with 3 remade MM games and the battle tower) on one of these and I can have zem all!

Look at the screenshots... one of htem (3? 4?) has a strange screen with teleports labelled I, II, III, IV, V, O, M, and one blank one... is that the menu system? O for options? M for ... uh, art gallery? history? Those are the two things the article says are in it... :D

And yeah, MMV had color -- on the Super GB, though...

I know that Capcom is making way too many MM games recently, but I still like the series...

I mean, since '01 (in 2 1/2 years) we've gotten MM&Bass for GBA, MM Battle Network 1-3 with 4 upcoming for GBA, MMX7 upcoming, MM Zero 1 and 2 for GBA, MM Network Transmission for GC, MM Collection upcoming, MM Mania upcoming, that MMX RPG upcoming, MMX5 for PC, MMX6 for PSX I believe... that's 8 or 9 games in 2 1/2 years, with 5 more upcoming! Including five games this year... seems a bit overboard, even if they are good. Oh well... they're just getting into the porting thing with MM games finally to pad the lineup of sequels. :)

Well, at least they have innovated the series in these games... MM Zero is definitely different from what came before... sure, Zero 2 is the same as the first one, but the series is somewhat new. MM Battle Network is the same way, in the RPG genre...

Though maybe that's because the only of those that I've bought is MMX5 for PC (though I've played a little of MM Zero, I didn't beat the first main level...)...

I'll eventually get at least one of the Zero games, though, and both Collection and Mania are high on my list. :) Yeah, I'd rather get the collections of old games than most of the new ones...

Has there been any new information on the Mega Man Collection, a release date perhaps?

    I'm all excitified :D.

I'll be getting the GCN collection for all those games and power battles, neato! I just really hope the Wily Wars battle tower is included in ONE of these. I wanna see what those 3 unique bosses fight like (all I got are the CDs in MM&B), plus the idea of fighting all the bosses from 1-3 is very cool indeed.

No idea about Collection, but I think this Mega Man Mania thing is coming early next year.

Official announcement of the two games. Looks like the PS2 and GC versions have one difference... strange...
