Wow! I'd never be able to play through the game that fast let alone get 100%!!

I wonder how long it took for him to get that good.

Is it even physically possible to move Samus that fast ? I guess he must have had a real plan, going from save station to the next with an algorithm for what to do, doing it in as low as time as he possible can before saving it and continuing (maybe even using multiple memory cards to do the trick).

Simply put, this person didn't use the "default" path. There are ways to beat the game very quickly without even getting a lot of the "needed" upgrades, just like in past Metroid games. This fellow likely used said secret paths to rush through the game ultra quick, only gathering powerups when they were right on the way. Think of Metroid 3, where you had to super missle away those flying guys and wall jump up the corridor to get super bombs early to save time while still being able to get everything.

DJ, just one flaw there: He had 100%... he had to have gotten stuff to get that...

    Re-read what I just said.

To me that means going through as fast as possible, not mapping a route through the whole game that goes past every single powerup location and following it like you seem to explain that you meant... if you meant that why not SAY it? I don't see how my interpretation was so strange given that its the most logical thing... speed, fastest route, not going past every hidden item spot along the way (that'd slow yo down I'm sure...) seems simple connection to me...

Well thats why I think he had mapped out a plan of how to approach the whole thing. He had to have practiced it many times before he probably got it this low.

Yeah, it definitely must have taken him a lot of practice...either just memorizing everything in the game or mapping it all out and memorizing that... amazing, really. That's so much to remember... wonder how many tries it took. :)

I would, but I'm sure it's way to big for me to bother trying to download.
